Road Kill Manger Scenes

The story about PETA getting their knickers in a bunch about a manger scene in Alaska is so silly! For years Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas has been using road kill in their manger scenes. The animals are stiff and stand without much support. The cool weather keeps them from rotting. Since two of the three wise men were reported to be gay, Mr. Phelps (I refuse to call that reprobate reverend) wanted to use “dead faggots.” The Topeka city council stepped in and he was unable to pull it off. The road kill, however, remains. At Easter he plans to nail Ted Haggard to a cross.
